From October 9-19th writers can enjoy a series of events.
Local writers and Tairāwhiti Writers Hub, HB Williams Memorial Library, Taiki E!, Tairāwhiti Technolgy Trust, Central District NZSA and GizzyLocal deliver ‘Hui Kaituhi’.
Seven days of open mic, lyric and script, poetry, stories, book tech, meet-ups, spaces and a public Coastie Flash Fundraiser Dinner with Ngā Kaiuthi Māori.
The stars are out – Witi Ihimaera, Monty Soutar, Paula Morris, Shelley Burne-Field, Sir Haare Williams, Tania Roxborough, Kath Akuhata-Brown and Mikaela Nyman to name a few.
Ngā Kaituhi Māori, supported by Manatū Taonga and NZSA opens with Tui, Tui, Tui Tuhia at Poho-o-Rawiri Marae, their third event from 9-12 Oct.
